Price help for screeding

Hi
I have a large job to quote for and sort out most of it but stuck with the screed price -
I am laying insulating boards, UFH mats and then needs to lay self leveling latex screed to cover 67 sqm.
Stuck here - I can work out cost of the materials but a bit stuck on the labour charge.
Want the job !
I called screeding company and they said £1600 - £1800 inc materials.

Any ideas welcome !

No idea never screeded a floor before (was planning on a one day course to get some understanding of it - place near me does a 1 day course tailored to suit my needs so I can have plenty of practice).
I have only been tiling since April and did a 4 week course with NVQ 2 at the end and then got my CSCS card. Keep getting recommended so might be doing something right !

you should easily lay 67m2 of levelling compound in the day, (imo)

I have allowed for 20 bags of Ardex 257 & 258. I did the STC course in Harlow and get a good trade discount on their products I know I should try the ones recommended on here.
What would you use ?

I'd be using ultra 2 slc and that would cost me £300 for 20 bags

Well STC (was PTS) arranges for trade accounts inc one at Pentagon in Harlow and they do great discounts. I have not used this before but hoping it works out OK.

that should be fine Mark, just make sure that the heat mats don't float to the surface.

you'll do 67 m2 in no time at all mate!!

read and measure to the manufacturers instructions
get a labourer in to mix, while you pour , spread and level..i would use a spiked roller over the matting to eliminate any air pockets.
dont mess about with it too much neither ;0)

£1800-00p!!!!!! dear me, you could buy the matts, pay the labourer and buy yourself a refina mega mixer for that price mate, that screeding company where a rip off!!! you'll have it done before dinner time and make a nice wage too!!

Are you laying the ufh. If so, say a day for that and a day for slc. Buy a spiked roller though, it's worth it.

Just wondered if you think this is OK ?
I am only converting about 50% of my quotes so want to see if you think I am completely unreasonable .
