Hi all, i'm starting a bathroom soon, could have a problem where 2 walls meet, external angle, floor to ceiling, instead of the walls meeting at the usual 90 degrees, there's a strip about a 150mm peice been put in that would be at 45 degrees joining the 2 walls, my way of thinking would be to bevel tiles on the wet saw or failing that is there a trim that could be used, any advice welcome..... cheers

Hmm

Do you mean like this?

This was done with standard 90 degree edging strip. It isn't that noticable that the tiles don't sit square onto it.

The tiles weren't bevelled, they just butted up to the trim. They look a little filthy in the photo, that's because they need a clean as they've been behind the shampoo etc. Don't look too closely at the silicone!

Hi mate you can keep the square edges on the middle part but mitre the edges of the two tiles on either side.

I think this would be the easiest way. Just make sure that the tiles on the middle part of the wall are fixed plumb and the mitre cuts will be easier.

I am assuming you mean a wall that would be square 90 degree but it has been cut with two 45 degree cuts to form a sort of chamfered edge?

sorry cornish, yours was good too mate, it was the silicone, it was distracting me.....!!

2nd word is OFF

The silicone was my mistake on that one. I should have used clear in the corners over a small gap and grout. It was increadibly difficult to get a smooth finish over those tiles. One day I will probably strip the silicone joints out and do them again, in clear.
