I have a problem to solve, so thought best to find out from you guys what you would do in this situation, I will try and explain as best I can.

I have a large bathroom which we are half tiling all the way round the room apart from the shower area, this area will be fully tiled for obvious reasons after it has been tanked with WP1.

Now the first problem is how to continue the tiles above the half tiling to the top of the shower screen, I think the tiling should be completed first, before fixing the shower screen to the walls, what do you do in this instance ?

Secondly the tiles are 335x450mm and it takes 2.5 tiles wall to the inside of the screen, if I fix the shower screen first, and tile up to it, would you want the screen fixed first, or fix it after all the tiling ?

If the shower screen is fixed first would you use the other half of the cut tiling to continue on the walls outside of the screen going round the room ?

I hope I have explained it correctly.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking, problem is matching the tiles as I continue up the wall inside the screen.

Some shower screens have to be fitted to an impervious surface - tiles.
This is because the water sometimes runs down the inside of the frames on certain makes.
Check the manufacturers fitting instructions.
Tile all around first and fit the screen 2nd. If you have to replace the screen at a later date it will be easier to repair the area behind the wall mounted fitting rail:thumbsup:

Timeless John.

So to cap it as I continue the tiling up the wall inside the shower screen you would cut the tile to finish inside the shower screen track and silicon on the outside as well as the inside of the track ?

hi i think timeless john has answered it already tile your walls before fitting screen (that way your walls are w/p )run tiles behind screen fit screen on top of tiles with most screens you only Silicon outside screen as mentioned above (same around base):8:
