Thanks all for your thoughts. As im still in my first year, im still learning so this type of feedback in invaluable. Clearly, it appears to be related to having a tanked substrate not allowing the evaporation to escape so ill stick to powdered adhesive in future

Thanks WB, i went back and fixed the loose tiles last night and the rest seem absolutely fine. The problem tiles in question were on a small box section but the rest (on plastered walls) seem fine and dandy..

I just asked in my local well known tile suppliers about using tubbed adhesive over tanked areas, all the staff joined in the conversation all ''advised'' that there was no problem in using tubbed addy. I argued the point, so the manager got on the phone to the regional BAL rep........he agreed with them!

Thank god for this site, It really is a minefield out there when it comes to so called informed professionals

how can we trust any thing these people say i was told by BAL tec that they will guaranty fast flx on to chip board :yikes: and on to floating floors.:yikes::mad2:
