To be honest kev I think they need to come up it is not just little patches in some areas the stone is that bad it looks like the inside of a honeycomb. The tiles are literally disintegrating. He has paid for the best and that is what he deserves not just a patch up besides the tiles were full of filler to start with I don’t think adding more will look good.

My old boss had exactly the same problem, he just wished he had made the woman sign a disclaimer first as she was adamant on having a trav floor in a salon.

In the end we covered it in porcelain!

As for travertine weakness, theres loads of times Ive picked ip pieces and they have just snapped. Got to be very careful with storage

Relax, just an observation with jobs I have seen in the past not being backfilled, it creates a weakness in the surface filler from impact damage.....not aimed at anyone in particular especially not YOU.....
Sorry m8 a bit tense this morning as had a late night and was up at the crack of dawn but she was having none of it. I‘ve had a coffee now and I’m a little more relaxed.

How is back filing going to help with an air hole that is 1mm below the surface of the tile and not visible from ether side.

It was a generalisation regarding fixing stone on the Continent! That's all!!! It was not a have a go at your fixing methods!! Take a chill pill
