Pros advice needed.

Just finished a mare of a job today, I am new to this lark so I shouldn't get too down about it taking longer than I expected.

I tiled a bathroom and ensuite floor and had real trouble on the cuts around the pedestal and wc, started with a profile gauge, it gave a great shape but then I got flumaxxed at locating this onto the tile, then used a piece of paper the same size as a tile and made several cuts with my knife to get the shape, the latter method worked better but just wonderd if you guys could advise.

Mark it roughly to the shape. Cut inside the line then offer it up again. Mark the tile again and do the same, keep doing that until it fits. Little at a time is the way.

For any funny cuts I always use paper cut outs to the same size of the tiles.

For me today the paper method worked ok, not perfect though, I like the look of scribing DH thanks for that I will have a practice, thanks again.
