Protilers - More Tiling I Meopham...

[Protilers]

Evening all......
I have moved onto the master bathroom today........all 1200 x 600 porcel-thin from FEET....
with a couple of what I would call "placards" thrown in for good measure.......


here is how it went:

I am going to concentrate on the wet room floor today for obvious reasons......here is the floor before I started.....

tomorrow is another day......and tomorrow I am going to leave work early!!!......
I have something fun to do!!!!!!!!

Wakey wakey Lee .. you know create YOUR own thread that only you can add too .. the show us your work threads are now redundant and you use the new forum for your own work thread..

These bathrooms are lovely can I ask a question tho.. I can see you have angled "cuts" in the fall to the drainage... How was this atchieved and how much slope do you put on it?... Thanks mate some nice tiling there!

that is called a shower envelope.....and the falls are either preset or I think its 1-20.........oh and it is achieved with a cutter......and a few years of trial and error, not to mention a bit of luck!!!!!!.....give it a go!

I was over in Meopham again today..........it is really difficult work.....not because of the tiles or anything, but because of the work that has been completed by other contractors.....


for instance there is a hole in the wall where an LCD TV is due to go........I asked the client ages ago "where is the TV and bracket?" ...and the reply was "its on order"........" i cut the hole from the diagram online!"...


Well, the TV arrived today......after I had tiled the wall......and guess what................IT DONT FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!..........so I had to pull the tiles off and clean the wall up!!!!!!.......ARRRRGGGHHHHH......


that is just one of the many debacles of this self builder!!!!!!..............any way...this is what went on:

I started with the bath surround.........and yes it has holes everywhere......and the holes fall on the edges of the tiles.....not usually a problem but in this case the "shroud" of the lights is 2mm bigger than the hole!!!!


oh well......


now that is done I can continue the wall tiling.......after a box is installed for the heated towel rail.......(it was just a wire poking out of a hole earlier!......could have been another LED!).....but luckily I double checked!

its driving me up the wall........but it will look great in the end I guess............
