hullo folks - I have a curved shower base to fit and due to plumbing constraints have to build it up 100 mm off the floor - i would like to tile this area with mosaic and have a few ideas how to get the curve under the base to tile on -1.marmox board screwed at 200mm intervals to wooden base or the old favourite 6mm ply primed etc- there is no load on as base will support so is for decor only-anybody got some smart ideas?:huh2:

6mm wedi/marmox will bend to shape no probs....just put a few cuts in the back with a handsaw about halfway through and then flip it over and it will bend to shape easy....put the tray on a base and set the base back the depth of backerboard + tile and puts supports to fix to on the floor in-line with the tray base.......bingo!!!

cheers dave i,ve always managed to adapt the plumbing up to now to sort this but cannot be avoided this time- marmox was always my first choice -will i need large washers to hold in place with screws ?i think it will support it better:ninja:
