Differentiate between tiles with a brick style format, and brick style pattern. You can do brick style pattern with pretty much any tile format, wether it is 10x10, 5x30, or 30x30. You just set the first row as usual, and then displace the next row half a tile. Of course, you have to measure carefully so that the bits on the sides don't turn out to small. You want atleast 1/3 of the tile to remain after cutting, if possible.

If you just want tiles with the same surface format as bricks, like 10cmx20cm, or whatever the measurements are, then I'm sure any tile retailer can show you a dozen or so alternatives.

JUST A QUICK MOST PROBERLY STUPID QUESTION ABOUT BRICK STYLE PATTERNS, AM I JUST BUYING NORMAL TILES AND PRETTY MUCH JUST CUTTING THEM IN HALF? TO MAKE THEM THE SIZE OF BRICKS, SORRY ABOUT THIS HAHA,
We will try to answer all questions whether stupid or not!

In answer to your query, NO YOU DO NOT cut the tiles in half to make "brick" size/shape. The customer really wouldn't like every row to have cut tiles the full length of it. Would take you forever anyway!

The pattern is only a style of tiles setting where you start your second row of tiles offset by (usually) a half tile length along the first row. It is more normal to have rectangular shaped tile for this but it can be done with square tiles. it can also be done vertically as well as horizintally.

Keep asking away, stupid or not! You may get some stupid or sarcastic answers as well though so don't take offence, it won't be personal.

Yeah I Know Theyl Be Plenty Of Sarcasium About Haha, But I Had To Ask Cos Its Been Bugging Me, Plus Theres A Picture In The Gallery Of A Splash Back Which Looks Like All Little Rectangle Cut Tiles In A Brick Effect And I Didnt Know If These Were Individualy Cut Or Full Tiles, Buy No Means Is This A Dig At The Tiling Because Its Looks Mint And Im Thinking Of Doing It For Mine, But Was Just Curious If They Were One Tile Cut Into 3/4 Rectangles Or Not. Think That Kinda Makes Sense, And Grumpy Thanks For The Tax Reply You Gave Me Cant Remember If I Thanked You Or Not For It Mate.
