I've got shorter props than that, bought them from ScrewFix.
I also do the same as Neale, screw a small piece of timber into the top ingo at the joins & wait till set then fix ingo (under side) of window with my smaller props.
You will find that if the tile isn't too big then suction will hold the tile in place, the prop is just there as a precaution..

I butter the back of tile. Never had a problem. Even with porcelain. Ohhhh no done it now, next one will drop.

yeh as bri said a tile that will fit in a window recess un the upside down part will hold itself in my opinion. I was just talking about the outside edge whatever it is called im not that up to speed with the lingo lol! cheers

Ash, the outside edge above a window is called the head in my neck of the woods, the under side is the soffit, the sides, (right and left) are reveals and the cill or sill is the bottom bit. depending on your location terms may vary.

A bit like staff, gaugeing stick, pinch rod. You say tomato, I say tomateto. Just diffferent terms for the same thing really.:thumbsup:

nice one mate.... pinch rod sounds like something I can use on my son when hes playing up and he has been lately so will have to design my own lol. :thumbsup: also I was going to say the face tiles or facing tiles instead of the head but remembered where tryin to be clever gets me haha!

Same lingo down here except for Pinch Rod !
