Quotations for large Companies

Does anyone else get asked to quote for large companies that they have no other contact with during the year.I keep getting these requests from the same company year after year.Everytime a cd of site plans,including wanting a main contractor discount and wanting the quote back in to them in less than 7 days.I don't even bother looking at them now.Just wondered if anyone else gets these meaningless requests?

Some I quote and others I dont all depends on the spec. Recently got all that info with a CD too...all for 11m2 which was on a job over 200 miles away and they wouldnt pay travelling.

They are looking for check prices to compare to their usual subby, waste of time, straight into dustbin

I get tenders quite often for my Sash Window business. Some of the spec sheets they send out are a real headache just to look at. I dont bother with them as often there are guys already guarenteed the work in place (usualy putting afew quid someones way)

Its just a formality for them as most are required to put work out to tender.
