I'd charge for three days +materials.

The existing floor must be made flat, slc if required

If the customer wants sand/cement joints I would use silver sand, depending on your joint size 3mm would be 2.1 or a bit stronger larger joints would defo be 2.1-3.1 max

i agree with whitebeam silver sand and cement, 4-7 mm joints to take out various of tiles - the old way is the best way in this situation .

charge your normal rate , then work out how long it will take to do it and then add on to price. just tell the customer its extra on the cost

Hi gooner, not quite sure he is gutting the complete room , maybe just before xmas or just after.... he also stated that he wants an 8mm grout line.
