Well imo,any job thats giving you cash is still well worth doing,£100-£130 is still good money, maybe cos your in london and they prob charge over the odds anyway makes you feel its beneath you, point being, its part of tiling work.......gripe over.....

ooooh ark at u, all i was saying is if you need to do that kind of work...then get there tommorrow.....but in some cases it can be hard to correct others errors.....p.s in london we dont charge over the odds....We pay over the odds...congestion charge(£8.00) , parking at £4.00 per hr (AVG.) Etc.......

and i can also assure you that there is no work beneth me.....
i have done it all....more than twice!!!!!!!

cmon dean, i was trying to illustrate a point.....prices are higher in london than any where else because....Londoners pay more to do the job....today cost my company £42........and all i did for this £42 pound bill was turn up and park.....
its got nothing to do with getting my knickers in a twist.....i feel sorry for the customer....admitedliy all my costs will be passed onto the customer....but i need to pay the costs first....which means i have to pay £210 this week before i ask the customer for any of my money! (wages)..........the wage gap between north and south is not just because londoners charge more.......its relative.......

Like I said Last job I earn't £220 for days work,I'd do them all day every day for that amount of money.

so would i £220 a day...great...except the £42 to park.....the cost of my van.....fuel....vat........office.....income tax, the accountant....oh and the wife............
p.s like i said before i earn a penny it costs £50.....a day....everyday......different circumstances......you and i.........i think you might get all the work eh?

Protilers I agree with you on your costs being higher in london. You've only got to look at the cost of houses to realise that. I live in Telford but come from Twickenham. When I moved up here with my old job my wages dropped by £400 a month net and I could still afford (just about) to live so there's the relative difference for you.Its a lot isn't it!

Glad I don't live down there,my cousin works away down in London every week and he has an expense account of £400 a week cause he has to go to many different sites,he easily goes through it with parking and congestion charge.

London is a different world,I always wonder how people who work at places like McDonalds on less than £7 an hour survive in London.

I have a quote to do when I can get to them for doing just this work, re grouting a bathroom, not sure of size yet obvs. Will be £150 a day + negligible materials.
