Raimondi-final decision

Good Evening.

Have decided to go and purchase the Raimondi Pikus 85.

Firstly thanks to all who have inputted in the recent threads especially Gary.

I have a choice to make wether to have the machines sent with the blade spinning counter clockwise or Raimondi are happy to alter the spindle so the blade spins clockwise and say their should be
know differance

I would prefer it to go clockwise as to what i am used to but do not want to affect its design.

Anybody have any thoughts on the plus and minus of blade direction or is there know differance.

never used a cutter that spun the other way.. just need to make sure the blade used can cope with blade going opposite direction.. as blades i have used half directional arrows.. so whether simply turning the blade arrows to the inside suits , then i would check..

I wouldn't want a blade spinning towards me, if it snaps its coming right at you.

Yes i was thinking earlier about that as it could possibly limit just been able to use Raimondi blades Dave-thanks.

Probably my main thought is chippin wether a reverse spinning blade is more likely to chip polished porcelain than a clockwise spinning blade.

May try tomorrow running a piece of porcelain through my cutter face up then try it with the tile face down.

Not sure Kev as it isn't something i have ever tried.... maybe pushing a tile in through the back edge of your wet cutter will give a similar result..?
