recycling hole cutters

a question lads n lassies,i was at a trade day a few weeks ago that rotozip were at,the guy recommended that if you find the hole cutters are at the end of there life then drill them into a breeze block it brings the diamond edge back again,,has anyone tried this and does it work on any diamond drills?

same principle as re sharpening your wet saw blades on a piece of sandstone jamie, gets rid of the rounded diamonds and exposes the new layer

I find all the diamonds disappear on the bottom ring tho' on hole cutters,so they won't even get a start on a hole
