Afternoon Guys!

I've starting preping for my first job, family member hence why i've stopped to sign in here an ask for some valuable advice.

I'm tiling a small downstairs toilet about 15 sq metres and have had to remove wallpaper.......i've used a steamer to remove most of the wallpaper down to the plaster and to be fair its done of good job removing the excess paste too.

However, there are some stubborn areas where i'm having problems removing the paste. i.e. behind sink and toilet area.

I've been told to buy a wired brush drill bit as this works well. However i was wondering if any veterans in the trade had any additional info to help me out here?

thanks for reading!!!

hi mate,

have you tried using coarse sand paper by hand? propbably a cheper way to do it if you some in the old tool box.

If the wall is stone or plaster you could also use a wide wood chisel which can be handy, I use this method sometimes when removing old vinyl adhesive from small areas of floor.
