Only cheap £2.99 a box 150x150 wickes budget tiles!!!
It's just a makeover in existing shower cubicle.
It's about 7sqm(how long would this take a pro to redo?)

how long is a piece of string mate,? don't matter how long it takes you, as long as it's done right:thumbsup:

Sounds like you will need some aquaboard/hardibacker and tanking kit. If you go that route the job will be a breeze helpsy.

I not worried how long it takes me to do it I just wondered(I know each job is different)about how long it should take a pro to do 7 sqm roughly(just out of interest)(150x150)

What if the existing plasterboard is intact ok what do I need to do to it (PVA????)and excuse my ignorance what is a tanking kit?I've tiled on solid walls before but not plasterboard.

personally I'd use rapid set adhesive in the morning have a long lunch and grout up in the afternoon and be home for teatime:smilewinkgrin:

This is a wet area, so a bit different from a dry area in preparation. Tanking means to waterproof prior to tiling. You will get all the advise you need from old threads and this one.

i doubt very very much p/board will remain intact helpsy. You're best talking to your local tile supplier about the availability of tanking kits, very basiclly there are two types, paint on and membrane, both designed to stop water ingress into your substrate, both a doddle to install:thumbsup:
