well, was troubling me all night, so i rang british gypsum this morning, explained the scenario to one of their technical team who liaised with somebody else, who got back to me with "what was that failure thing called, never heard of it. It is a perfectly suitable medium(s/c) to plaster(skim) onto using their multi skim (which is what I use) as long as background is cured" so I can only assume that the boffins at BG have maybe added an additive to counteract the reaction!
And I want to be in bed before 12 tonight!!:hurray:

Hi All,

Had a bit of difficulty finding a stockist of BAL Quickset Render. Anyway, BAL put me onto Trades-Direct, they seem to have a pretty good range of stuff on there and the quickset render is £16.87 for 25kg. Delivery is £7.95 but presume that would include multiple items.

Been informed today BAL quickset render price to me by my local BAL stockist who never used to stock it or even heard of it until i asked for it(trade)is £26 for two 25kg bags bargain
