There is a lot of competition out there ,some is legit and other not so.Slick website
There is a lot of competition out there ,some is legit and other not so.
it is always a task to work out who is a potential threat or not.
especially if you have not had to compete in yesteryears.
i have had some quite farcical quotes in last two years to compete with but if a client tells me they have a better quote I state that I want to see that quote .
To compare quotes they need to be apples for apples, cos if the competition is much cheaper there's always a reason!!
There's always the other side as well John, expensive does not mean quality ,you can pay for fish eggs but it ain't caviar !
You're spot on there, but surely then it's down to the customer to make sure they check the tradesman out prior to any order given/work commencing, so they can be equally to blame.
Well that's quite true.never thought about that. There's always the other side as well John, expensive does not mean quality ,you can pay for fish eggs but it ain't caviar !
Just seen your new avatar. Village People will not be impressed. :lol:True mate,it's a vicious circle it is
John seems to have upset you Dave!
I can't stand pretenders, I meet them every day in tile shops/ builders merchants etc. They all talk a good job, but when it comes to walking the walk rather than talking the talk, they can't hack it.
I remember a trader local to me who had his van sign written as follows: ......... ........Ltd, General builder, plumber, plasterer, joiner, kitchen fitter, tiler, painter and decorator, roofing specialist, landscape gardener, ground worker, bouncy castles, childrens parties,(Dan Dan the magic man).
Come on this guy must have spent £1,000.00 to have his van written up, why can't we just stick to what we know?
I am just a tiler, I can do a little of most trades, but I am a tiler, so tiling is what I do.
