if you own a rubi cutter carry a spare wheel in your van cos when the cutter box falls apart after a month or so you can guarantee that you
will lose the wheel carrying it from the van to the job.

Should have seen that one coming ha ha.
Ive always used rubis but must admit that recently some tiles have only cut properly using my sigma.
We have some tiles from the local factory here that cut easily with one batch and the next manufacture run barely cuts in half.
Ive been told that it is to do with the firing temperature but im not sure.
I do know that when this problem occurs that the sigma gets the job done.

I have a few rules of thumb:
It doesn't matter how many bags of adhesive you think you'll need, put an extra two in the van,
Something that would take you two hours to do at the end of the day will take you all morning to do the next day.

Allways keep a bar of chocky in van for emergency hunger when your still in work when all other trades seemed to have finished earlier than you again..... :-(

Set up the job with everything out that you need for the day, save wasting time going back and forth to the van.

Keep a tape measure and pencil upstairs and downstairs if you are on a job where you are working both areas.
