weber and ardex have always been my prefered brands although i have been happy with mapei too over the last 5 years.
I am looking forward to using the 'tilemaster' level flex and seeing if its as good as all the hype.

floor screeding is definitely a different level of skill than pouring slc but i wish more tilers would have a crack at doing it because its not that difficult to pick up, especially on small areas up to 10-50m2. It would also give our trade more recognition with regards to its skill set. then there's the extra money you'd make along with the fact that you know what you are tiling on has been installed to the correct standards!

I call it DSG - Duff Screed Getover.

As regards screeding itself I used to do the odd small screed myself , quite pleasurable in fact. Couldn't get a *** paper underneath it by the time I was done and tiling it was lovely :0).
Personally I put doorstop in the bankers and rule off those after setting them up using a datum line - something I don't see very often these days.

I couldn't make a living at it though , but as was said above jobs of 10m²-50m² are certainly doable.

Diggy

used this one once UF_Level_IT_two_Group_WEB[1].jpg awful stuff took 24hrs to harden cost £22 and only does upto 10mm
