yes think the roller added to the problem.

didnt work on after application it was sealed on saturday and as its a factory entrance there were no workers back until tuesday because of easter, hopefully doesnt come to honing it cos theres 220 m2 of it.

also found out fila is an oil based product.

Honing it is not as bad as you think. See what it's like and post back! Where is this job as a matter of interest?

Would it make that much difference using a roller, over a pad?

Why are you asking that question with your 10 years experience? You told me you had applied one product to over 2000M2 of floor didn't you?
----
No

Really speaking the surface should be wiped of impregnator before drying.

If using a roller then keep bubbles to a minimum as some will stay on surface when dry, Stain stop is one.

..
It makes a tremendous difference Sealer applied with a pad is much better and totally controllable. You have no control with a roller:thumbsup:

If you don't know by now with your experience! How can you possibly expect help from me!:huh2: Your the man aren't you :huh2:
No, I know that with 10 years experiance, I still have a lot to learn. If pads are better than rollers, I'd like to know how, then if I'm convinced then I'll change to pads.
Thats how I work, always happy to learn from others, even you. :wink5:

Danny,

OK fair enough if that is really the case think about it. Because even though I am nearly twice your age I am prepared to learn as well!!! Dip a pad in sealer and spread it on a workable area within reach, allow to dwell and work it in! How can you possibly have the same control with a roller you dont know where its gone or where it spread to? Furthermore, whatever sealant this thread started with and i don't have the time or inclination to look it up your task tonight is to try and find me some instructions where it says apply this product or any other sealer for that matter with a roller!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodnight and God Bless!!!

Sorry Kev I thanked you by mistake! But put it on account.

I was going to ask you, what type of pad do you use? What about the rest of you guys?

Can you please use the Thank You from the account now as I want to use in anticipation to your anwser.

I use Stanley pads where possible! I tried Harris professional and they are fine on most sealers it just seems when you are applying certain sealers the Harris ones seem to leave tiny hairs on the stone. The problem is they are expensive because I never clean them to reuse they just go in the bin. I am looking for a bulk suupplier of Stanley ones if anyone knows where:thumbsup:
