Trueline Tiling
Hi,
I'm New to the forum, been tiling now for 5 years after doing a course at PITT. I've just returned back to work after breaking my foot before christmas, doing some saturday night tiling!
I've had a bad result with SealGuard inpregnator sealer on a 30m2 tumbled marble floor, its left the floor with small shiny patches, and in some places small plastic looking blobs(looks a bit like dried PVA thats run down its container)
I've used this sealer for the last 3ish years and always had good results.
I've washed the floor down before apply it as I normally would with a paint pad and wipe up the excess within a couple of minutes, grouted, washed then reapply a second coat.
Tried using sealer to rub out the patches but doesn't touch it.
I've since contacted Seal Guard, they told me white spirit or turps would break their stuff down but it didn't!Their man is coming out in a week to look but he did keep telling me that they never have problems with their products.
Something has gone wrong somewhere!
Can anyone recommend a good sealer stripper to remove this?
I have use of a floor scrubbing machine and wet vac if this makes it easier.
Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!
