self levelling compound

If it's 10mm over such a small area then I would stick a bit of level in it.
Try for Mapei Eco or renovation screed (as already said) & level the full area ready for tiling.
Why are you putting boards down?
Are you fitting a heat mat?

not in that room stef, its just for insulation really as no other heating in the room.
 
thanks guys for all answers previously, I am now at the stage of slurry coat down and SLC down also ready for the weekend, do I need to re- coat with SBR/PVA again before I start tiling or is it not really nessesary again ?

I always give my SLC a prime before I lay tiles.
"Do not" use PVA (that's a bad word to a tiler)
You will find a suitable primer easily or if you have already used an SBR then give it a once over with that & you will be fine.
Give your SLC 24hrs (check bag) & then you should be good to tile.
