Show Us YOUR Work Thread - Tilers Pictures

Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. 🙂

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them...

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

600x400 travertine bathroom finished yesterday. Thanks to the guys on the stone forum regarding what sealer to use. Opted for Ltp colour enhancer and stainstop. Customer initially wanted a polished look but advised against and they are thrilled with the results. Will hopefully be able to get back once finished.

Setting out vertically was dictated by the customers insistence on the position of the mosaics leaving small cuts top and bottom. I advised against trim around the window and butt jointed the tiles, filled with grout and took the edge off by hand with sandpaper.

Not the most experienced with Travertine so all comments welcome.

Cheers
Pete

Note : the enquiry for this job came from Tilers Forum so it's always worth making your Albums full of pictures as you never know who is looking.

Nice job TJ. Very valid point about albums too, something I've never not round too. Just put a load of pics onto my new laptop as I'm trying to chose some for a website so will create some albums on here while I'm at it:thumbsup:

Excellent job TJ, I always like to see your work, top notch as ever, this is the standard that everyone should strive to achieve. Your 5 day course must have been awesome.

Couldn't afford the full professional 5 day course run by the plasterer but still managed to gain an NVQ while he sat on the staircase watching! He even attempted to ask me why I'd started where I did only to be told - it's with 40 years of trial and error! You have to laugh Phil otherwise we wouldn't see our grandchildren grow up.
Keep working hard don't forget my coffee next time our paths meet.

wish i could enter this into JOTM

Re: wish i could enter this into JOTM

Looks very steep to me and no hand rails!
Was the staircase built to tile or has it been adapted.
Nice idea but not sure of longevity.
Did you do the rest of the tiling and are there any photos.
You can always post in 'Show us your work' thread.
