Shower Areas

Hi,

What do you lads use to fill in the big gaping holes in the areas around the shower that have been dug out for the pipes?

Is adhesive suitable for this?

as long as its cement based i.e; powder adhesive/ rapidset just make sure you prime the holes first with the appropiate sealer

use expanding foam to fill large gaps around pipes quickly.........dave..

why is it that wot ever anybody does on this forum someone always say's 'don't forget to prime it'! wot would happen if they dont?
also when floor tiling someone always mentions 'sealing them' ! why? & again wot would happen if they dont?
i'm not totally stupid i was told about priming showers etc on training course, but it just seems where ever you tile the word prime it keeps coming up!

priming walls or floors helps with the bonding process of the adhesive by sealing dusty or porous surfaces thus helping the adhesive to gain as strong a hold as possilble....dave..
