sika latex

I have just laid sika latex over my electric underfloor heating mats, on the packet its says suitable for underfloor heating but on the back it says not to be laid directly over the wires, I have put this directly over the heating mat, any advice? i have been told by sika it may crack. advice please

Not really sure what to advise here. Sounds like the Sika stuff is only flexible enough for wet underfloor systems? Maybe that should be stipulated on the packaging. The SLC is only really there to protect the cables from damage and help spread the heat more evenly so it may not be too critical. Maybe you should lay your tiles with a 2 part adhesive system like Keraquick and Latex Plus to give a bit more protection. Not saying it will prevent future problems but I can't think of much else apart from starting again, sorry.

Quite misleading isn't it.... might be best to hold off on the tiling and fire the UFH up slowly and see if it cracks.. if it does then start a fresh and if not, then turn UFH off again and tile as normal.

Yes Iam going to put the underfloor heating on this week and see if it cracks, The Sika technical guy said there is a chance it will crack, but if it does not do you think it will be safe to lay my tiles?

That is a choice you will have to make but if the ufh doesn't crack it after a few days running it then it should in theory be ok but i cannot promise that..

Just had a thought could i lay Ditra Matting over the floor, if it cracks it shouldnt matter then, any input?

That depends if the latex debonds... and not just cracks.. but is an option.
