Silicon sealant

Hi Lads

just pricing quite a large contract just wondering how much you would put in for Silicon sealant internal angles approx 1000 linear metres in total in 200 bathrooms we do all the tiling for this contractors so dont want to go over the top

That is alot of Silicon mate!! There are Silicon guys out there who charge per linear metre so maybe they're on this forum and can help you out

yes pricing on Bill of Quantities they usually have some one who does this for them but want me to include in my price

It's not a thing most will price separately so it's usually ok to simply put 'INC.' in that column assuming it's covered within your other rates. You're also not tied tied to a 1000 mtr rate if someone asks you to make a special effort to do 3 mtrs.

Ive just had a quick play with some numbers and I reckon you could do 2/3 bathrooms an hour, so 20ish a day, so 10 days for all 200. On a day rate of £160 that's £1600 + materials. Has that helped!

I was recently asked to price to strip and reseal 170 bathrooms in a hotel in Edinburgh. They had a price of £1.20 a metre including materials and said I could have it if I did it got a pound a metre. I politely declined.....

strip and reseal for a quid a metre, i would still be laughing now.

i would like to know how someone can make a decent job of stripping and resealing for that price it takes me a couple of hours to strip and reseal a bath and sink .im talking really clean thats hourly rates so 60 quid a time

I get a pound a lin.mtr on most site work i do, same for trim and exp.joints.
