if corners still have manufactured edges I tend to use licked finger, if corners have cut edges I usually snip the corner off a glazing packer and use that as a profiling tool, (usually wet that with a sponge first)

Licking your finger introduces protein to the mix before the Silicon has cured which in turn harvests the dreaded black mould! Never lick the finger when siliconing

I'd use white, even if you've used black grout. Black Silicon looks too much imo. If you go with the black masking tape if you're not used to the fugi yet.

I have used black grout, just thought it might look odd with white vertical corners especially.
I haven't used black Silicon before I don't think. I assume it's super glossy black ?

With metros I would match the silicon with the colour of the tiles. That way the contours of the tiles will not stand out in internal corners

You might be right there, I haven't been looking forward to this part of the job since he mentioned black grout!
