Six UK soldiers killed in Afghanistan explosion

It's always sad to see someone die in service. We've lost so many good men out there. My heart goes out to their friends and family.

The six fallen


Through jigsaw world of rock and stone
Comrades together they were thrown
Deep seeds of freindship had been sown
Beneath burned cloudless skies


The six rode out their fears to face
To make their world a better place
Perform thier roles without a trace
Of sadness in their eyes


With serious heads and guarded hearts
The six delivered starring parts
To stave off terrors darkest arts
They roamed along their way


Though cautions watchword they observed
From overt danger switched and swerved
A fate that none had e're deserved
Awaited them that day


A fiery blast from hellish coals
Saw Terror steal their severed souls
And Death scarce paused to reach his goals
To extinguish their burning light


And now for valour and duty done
Will we remember every one
Their lives are over but sprits go on
To keep us safe at night
