Hi All,

Doing the estimate for a Black slate job Kitchen and Front room 32 sq mtr, any thoughts on a suitable price (may have to supply and fit) the Kitchen floor is already tiled so will need to remove first, plus under kitchen units cutting the plinths removing appliances etc.., bit of a worry whats under the front room carpet but im sure its concrete...

Thanks Guys

Dave

Hi, are the tiles calibrated or uncalibrated? . Uncal charge more. I charged £45 sqm. Why take the floor up? Or do you have to.

Tiles will be callibrated and going to take kitchen floor up as it leads into front room..

Maybe I'm just quicker than most,:wink_smile:4 days £170=£680+£160 for all materials.....I'm losing touch not tiled for a living for 3yrs plus.......Gaz

gaz would you still charge day rate on a big floor when you could make more charging per sqm. £35 sqm comes to £1120 minus say £200 tops for materials leaves you £920 profit for 4 days @ £205 per day

Get what you and your customer think is fair price for the job. Some people do work faster than others and have their own methods.🙂

Have been pricing tiles and roughly 500 uncalibrated to 700 calibrated!! Ouch!!

Not sure she's expecting that, and im sure she's been to B&Q looking so will have to look at there prices!!
