slc with granite chips.

hi all ,some slc can be bulked up with granite chippings,,i have mixed these before, adding the chips as i mix, when it comes to pouring i have found thst all the chips sink to the bottom and tend to come out in a blob, am i mixing wrong guys , manys thanks Neil.:lol:

very coincidental, was talking to a floorer today and he was telling me about this method,I'd never heard of it but he said it was a marvellous way to build a floor up with slc

Have never seen the need as there are numerous levellers on the market which will level up to 50mm in one pour, without the need for chippings

All depends how big the chippings are, 6mm is normally a good size
