When you lay tiles on the diamond you ping down a line in your set-out to give yourself a point to point start so that you are sure you are at 45 deg. Then you simply work in rows like you would if you are laying square.All you have done is turned your body even though the tiles are angled you still work the same.

Yes agree, the only difference is when you meet the wall and cut diagonal.

I love them things I use them on rectified edge tiles

i never use tile spacers on floors no matter what size of joint or how large the floor area is , use your eyes !!! big up for red wedges, no more folding bits of the tile boxes :hurray:

thats the way i was trained , started out with a tiling co, working in largish commercial work never once saw any tilers using spacers... i aint got a problem with anybody using them though...

i dont use spaces on floors,on large areas would be very time consuming.....does any one remember fireflash red from wooliscrofts with the lugs???

i remember them , there was a another tile similar to that , it was antislip , not the one with the dots but with small lines on them, they were a complete NIGHTMARE to wash the grout off..

I’ve still got some at the yard I will dig them out.

Just to add I grow my thumb nails especially for pushing the spacers back dos anyone do the same.

I do!!! and i get laffed at by my lads......but they are spot on peg pushers...

I use to like the self spacing tiles, Pilkintons or christal with lugs on the edges in gross colours

It has made my nails strong as well but when they were still soft I put nail varnish on to strengthen them. :gorgeous:

Now but seriously it was clear nail varnish and I don’t do it any more I swear. :embaressed_smile:
