Gents (and Ladies) - dont know if you can help but on training course the guy recommended a small plastic piece that came in varying sizes that allowed you to wedge in against wall and ceiling, whilst you marked off cutting points on tile- the plastic piece in effect gave you the 2 grout spaces.......they are about 8cm in length and 1/2 cm wide - they come in various colours dependant on mm width and look like the number 1.....anyone know what they are called ...they can be purchased in bags with all the varying mm sizes and multiples of each mm size contained in bag as well .....any help gratefully appreciated

They sound like the packers that window fitters use, you can get them from screwfix. Or you could try wedges which are available from tradetiler.

Travis perkins also sell them and probably B&Q as well. I try and get mine from a window fitting firm if i can

That sure sounds long winded, have you tried a. a tape and b. top and tail the tile ? got to be easier imho

I use glazing packers when I'm doing floor cuts (allows for perimeter expansion joint) but for some reason I've never used them on walls.

I use them at the end of the wall if it need pushing in from the wall to keep the vertical in line, off dodgy baths that arent flat and timber batons that arent very straight. They are also good for any tile that isnt quite square or needs tweaking, solid plastic and far better than bits of cardboard box my dad always used

looks like a useful idea, sounds like they would only be available in the US tho? i use Rubi wedges and Raimondi wedges..these look like would find there way into my spacer bag..
