It is not a race it's a marathon...how many tilers on these forums have been established for over 5 yrs...I'll guess 5% maybe less... lets hope that the newbies can aspire to that..after 5 it gets so much easier.many questions can be answered.not just tiling but how to behave and how to handle finance..pricing..motoring ..tooling..oh and the wife lol

If you are just talking about tiling then yes a bit faster but also taking into account what Gaz says having a better understanding of the job ,for example if you take on a job and multi task i.e rip old floor up and ply out-fit bath panels etc this all takes time.Another one is fitting shower screens which takes a bit of time,so what i find is that the job s are still taking the same time but i am doing a lot more,not just a case of tiling.I try not to put myself under pressure by clock watching but feel i should sometimes ask or demand more money for the work i put in.
