slightly off thread... I wonder why nobody makes a 1700mm level, same length as a standard bath??

cut down a standard 6' level. take an equal amount off each end to keep bubble central

levels are one area you cant take chances on a cheap deal

buy a decent level with a lifetime guarantee and a protective case and clean it after every job

i have all sizes up to 2m

its expensive but you only buy them once

a chippy i worked with found a wooden stabila on a job we were on, he emailed stabila and asked if the vials were still available as he wanted to restore it

they told him to send it to them , he did and they set new vials in it

turned out it was a lifetime guarantee and didnt matter he had only just aquired it
