I don't know what ya mean stef I know your saying to cut down the tile that sits on the worktop but why mate?

You don't have to but you might be tight at the top of the socket, check your sockets are all the same height as it will do your nut in if they are off line.
Measure from work top to underside of wall units, it should be about 480mm so that can give you a bit to play with on both tiles & cut as necessary.
