lo all,im doing 2 bathrooms next week with these monsters installed,customer has asked if i could remove the bath panel part and frame out and tile with mosaics,they need access panels though,do you think i should make the whole side on either side of it removable,its not a quadrant its a square ended one of these cabins were doing

i would just make the closest side to the controls/or whatever is under thses beasts accessable

I've done quite a few bathrooms with similar cabins and i always fully tiled before they were installed. On all the one's I've worked with, the warranty is null and void if they are tiled in in any way, without having full access and being able to move them , as they're ment to be free standing.

i think the pump etc is at one end and other accesibles ar at other,,just difficult with it being mosaics

cheers stewart,i wasnt aware of that, its the customer doesnt like the panel,your right of course tiling it is a daft idea as if anything goes wrong on the pipes etc at the back they wont be able to move it

too many things on these things to go wrong, access is priority on these things

Tell them you can tile their sauna units as much as they want but they'll still be ugly :smilewinkgrin:

keep the panel on them kilty all the fittings are at the back of the unit they need to be able to pull unit away from the wall for repairs (and thats quite often) SO LEAVE THEM AS A MOVEABLE ITEM

update,the customer is adamant he wants it tiled

urgh

so my idea is to cunstruct a 3 sided panel all oh which must be removable and using wedi bords,,does anyone know if wedi do any curved profile boards as at the end of the front panel is a curve not a square edge

any chance of using the original panel (epoxy) can panel be adjusted back to allow tiles

hi jay,the panel on this is cheap tat..are you suggesting we could maybe frame the back of the panel cut it down slightly to suit in height and fix with epoxy based?

at present its a bouncy cheap panel mate thats why i think they dont like it

yes just an option maybe reinforce from behind with cement sheet then sand face then tile
