grumpy , could you not have got full tiles across the steps, even if you stretched the grout lines a bit , not critisizing just wondering mate..

I did look at this but the grout joint would have been overly large in my opinion, something like 12 to 14mm if I recall, but to be honest I can't remember now. I felt that cutting the RX's gave a more pleasing result. Customer was delighted so that is the most important thing.

does look quite dandy tho even with the slim tiles at the end, makes a nice finished border effect :yes: judging by the rest of the property it was in need of a nice finish

Fine set of steps there Grumpy..haven't done any yet but I know where to go for advice if I ever do
