Evening lads, I,m laying stone tiles(450x450x20) onto a concrete floor with underfloor heating, I havn,t cut stone tiles before, am I right to think that ALL cuts, including straight ones will have to be done with a wet cutter and will I have to seal the underside of the tiles before laying??? Thanking you in advance for your advice!!!

tbh I don't seal underside but make sure loose shale is removed. You could use a stone saw/angle grinder if you don't have access to a wet saw. I use rapid set flexi adhesive for stone.

Not sure what stone they are because the owner works in France and sent them over from there(obviously french stone) they are a machine finished surface on both sides!!!

What kind of stone ?
how thick ?
what kind of under floor heating ?

Never seal under side !

Need more info to give proper reply
Regards
L

Doug, I use a wet cutter all the time and a angle grinder, so I guess this is the only way to cut them??? if so it will be very time consuming, the added room area is 70 square meters!!!

well a manual cutter aint gonna cut 'em! try both and see what works best, just be careful of staining with your wet cutter city. You're right tho' it will be time consuming but what else can you do?
