I like to see pics of jobs as they progress..so lets see if we can start a trend of regular posts from members showing there jobs................

This was for.."should i say not a young couple.".. .........it might be an old type

of design but i think it still looks effective though....

you know Dave i was gonna ask if the owners were "older"

BTW Love your tall mixing bucket

Looks a nice job there Dave.

Just goes to show, the finish a newbie tiler can achieve after joining the forums and having his questions answered by the experianced

So Dave, what sqm was that room, and how long did it take you to tile it all "not grouting" once the floor was set ?

The room was 24mtrs....... 2 days to tile including setting out...borders were separate to the field tiles ( just in case peeps thought it was all one tile)..
also if you look you will see there was skirting tiles to fit as well.....

So in total.... 1 day prepping floor and laying insulation boards....then another day laying the UFH and self levelling........then the 2 days to tile and grout this morning..........

could have grouted last friday but had early finish and weekend off........

I had my son with me on this one doing all the mixing of the adhesive on this job, but he would'nt use the hand cutter incase he cut one wrong and i told him off.......lol lol.....kids eh!!!(tx700n)....

Probably wouldn't want to be cleaning your van out again Dave!!

Grumps

looks great Dave, nice to see quality pics especially in progress.i have a few nice pics in the gallery which seem to be viewed regular,i am tempted to take on more decrative jobs as you can charge that bit more and give you the confidence to repeat it all, nice 45 degree kitchen splashbacks etc.hard and slow but beats the plain tiling all day long.

Well done.

Well done Dave,

Really nice work!
Did the owners ask... "...how much do you charge per meter?" before you even went to see the job?

What did you use to stick the ends of the cable down?
Couple of occasions, I have had problems with some sections of matting lifting (floating), when the levelling compound is applied.

The small bits of tape are from a warm up loose cable system....basicly just small strips of gaffa tape........this stops as you say the cable from floating when you level it............
