Supplier switching over, is this OK

I am a DIYer and ran out of Bal SPF on my bathroom refit, I ordered some more but the supplier (online) is having problems getting Bal stock in and has recommended Keraflex Maxi as an alternative.

Tiles are 300x100x10mm ceramic tiles onto Hardiebacker.

Is this a good enough alternative and are there any pitfalls when changing over between brands?

Is it a good equivalent adhesive? I have used a few Bal products now and have been happy with them. Not used any Mapei stuff, but know people here regard them well.

Keraflex maxi is a very good adhesive. It is generally over looked by many as they go for Keraquick. They are both very similar products but Keraquick is rapidset. You shouldn't have any problem.

Keraflex maxi will be fine, but it is capable of being laid in a thicker bed. bear in mind the mix consitancy between the two brands and becareful of your levels with regard to lippage.

Mapei keraflex Maxi is a good adhesive but Mapei P9 is just as suitable for your needs and is the equivalant of the bal spf.
