Taking somebody on

I intend to have my son working with me in the near future, I have been a one man band for a number of years now in bathroom refurbishment, what is the simplest way of doing this for i.e do I employ him or create a partner ship, I really don't want to get into a quagmire of legislation, i.e tax, health and safety etc,some out there must have a similar arrangement, please give me some tips. you will need to take out more insurance to cover him working with you, This will more than double your insurance premiums.

Your accountant is the best person to advise you of the pro's and con's of the different options available, and the best way to protect YOUR business, I.e, I know he's your lad, but if you go into a partnership and fall out a few years down the line you need to know how that could mess up your company etc etc.

He'll tell you which option is likley to cost you the least as well.
