We have 2 ways of doing it. 1 way is a mechanical membrane on floor going 15cm up the walls, then we throw 2cm of screed on the membrane, cover it in mesh, sparks cable ties his heating cables to mesh then we throw another 2cm of screed on top and do our best to make it look like a snooker table. Other way is to glue heating cable to floor, or use mats, then we'll cover it in self levelling screed, and on top of that we use a cement based membrane, spread it in with a 6mm toothed trowel and smooth it off with the straight side, then use membrane strip in the corners, got some pics on here somewhere where I did a cement based membrane
