Tanking Paint Or Tanking Membrane?

Simple really just wondering what people's preferences are and why? Mine is the mapei tanking kit, used it for years without any issues.. I'm interested to know what other people prefer 🙂

I like the liquid kits, tilemaster or weber are the 2 I use most.

membrane for me with out a doughty easy to apply and ready to go. tanked a wet room today could of started to fix straight away if I wanted to . went to a shulter demo last week and was totally sold on there products and there advantages of using membrane's rather than liquid tanking methods

I tend to use the Bal tanking...

I tend to use a mixture of both really, the easiest liquid I find is the Ardex. If the materials are colour sensitive I'll use the Bal WP1.
I like using the membranes too.
Seems I'm not fussed, 😀 but I think they both have their uses.

Membrane for a wetroom, paint on BAL tanking kit for shower over a bath....
