Tapered tile problem

Hi Folks ,
I`m about to tile the floor in my kitchen using 600 mm porcelain tiles .
They werent cheap , so I`m a bit dissappointed to discover all the tiles seem to taper about 2mm in one direction (not too bad the other way) . Is this normal , or should I take them back . Is it possible to stagger them , so you dont get a build up of error ?
Also , noticed one or two are marked from where theyve been in the box . You can see the criss cross patern from the back of the tile in the tile surface . Tried a damp cloth , and some mild cleaner , but its still appearing . Is there a cleaner available that will shift this ?

Hmm . Has crossed my mind , but I want to try and find a solution , if possible . Ive already had to load and unload them once , and dont really fancy doing it again . Plus , they were the last of the range , so we`d have the bother of choosing again ...

When you get the new batch,check a few in the shop.

Fair enough, lay them and you will have grout joints varying in size by 2mm. I doubt that you will be happy and you will have wished that you had taken them back. Seems you dont want to hear what will be said .

if you have paid good money as you said dont use them take them back and ask why they are like that,cant be right

If you lay them knowing they are faulty you'll always be looking at the imperfections and wish you'd taken them back
