Tennis Elbow

Anyone got any tips to ease the pain of tennis elbow? have taken pain killers and tried the heat rub stuff, am working through it but is bloody agony when trying to grip or or lift anything.

Sorry couldn't resist it. If its that bad go see docs and get a steroid injection in the elbow. Works wonders and will settle it down...

The name is so deceiving, i never thought it was as painful as this. Kept me awake most of the night. Still a few beers and load of whiskey tonight should help me forget it

A Chinese friend of mine suggested magnets when I had it and gave me some small but very strong circular magnets. I'd not been able to do a lot of jobs for about 4 months because I couldn't grip anything. After 2 weeks of sticking a small magnet on my elbow every night it was gone!

Some sports shops sell a strap for tennis/golfers elbow. Works a treat!

Personally i'd stay away from the injections. Know a plasterer who had real problems with them. Started off with 1 injection that lasted quite a while but eventually needed another one, then another, then another... the time between each injection getting shorter and shorter until it was eventually doing nothing for him. They mask the problem and stop your body from fighting it itself IMO

Had a frozen shoulder, don't know if it's similar on the pain front but took a year before it totally went, no jabs though.

Physio cured it for me. The Physio did some ""dry-needling" on it which was a big help

I get Golfers Elbow from carrying, and cutting plasterboard!?! If its flared up, grouting does aggravate it.
