This is a specialists job if you can show any photos then we can see the extent of damage.i would not fill any chipped tiles in cement as small cement repairs are prone not to hold in area. If your not sure of what you are doing,then i would suggest using a specialist the price does sound slightly high (top rate) but if you take everything in to consideration the work involved then you are looking in 3k-4k mark.Would really like to see any photos if you have any.
I always believe that if a job can be done by yourself then give it a go As long as the work you do can be reversed at no extra cost.( Sometimes the public try to D.I.Y and can make the job more expensive) So be prepared,& good luck.
