Thats not down to him not being 'assed' thats down to him not knowing how to float out a wall correctly using screeds or knowing how to line up boards.

I can see why you are fed up tho Kyle but my point is about tilers who can't do their own prep, not the tilers who can.

this kind of beading work is to be found on 90% of jobs I go to.
any person who takes money for doing a plastering job is a professional. It's just a shame that plastering profession seams to the worst tradesmen

I suppose it all depends on your own experiences, regarding percentages and stats.
all as I am saying is, there's good and bad in every trade and there's people who are being paid who are clearly not up to it.

Does anyone know Pete the Plasterer? I do, and he is very good. The tiles fly up when when I follow him. Unfortunately there is only one Pete and he can't plaster all my walls for all my customers. Dealing with banana walls is just the norm now.

Funnily enough Pete lives in a rented house. The landlord was doing up his bathroom and the walls needed plastering. Pete was too busy to do it and the landlord got somebody else in. What a mess. The walls were better before he plastered them!

I see that sorta crap every week, just gotta get over it. It's not good at all but you don't know what he's had to work with either. If it's been boarded then it should be flat really, it's it's not boarded could be different story

It's bin a knock back to brick and re board job and he's still fluffed it good and proper

This job was supposed to be half tile with 200 x 100 and swan neck border on the top and I've had to tell the customer them 2 walls can't be tiled and they don't want to get the plasterer back so I'd rater give up the extra meters then do them badly this is why I do all my own boarding and prep these days he didn't even use moisture resistant board in the shower I hope he falls of a ladder lol

I'm to busy to be pfaffing about straightening up that wall with metro It would be easier for me to re board the 2 walls I've got a baby arriving on the 28th of this month and I'm working 7 days a week up to the 26th

trouble is that most of the tiles we use now are to heavy to be used on a plastered wall. So when a customer say's, wall all replastered and ready for tiling, I normally end up walking away.

Couldn't think of anything better

I've just been winding a builder up over the floor levelling he's done. I told him I'm making a template from the floor for the council to use when they put speed bumps in the road.

If a jobs being plasterer I always get the customer to ring me as soon as it's been done so I can go round and check it.
9 times out of 10 it's ***** but that gives the customer chance to get it rectified. If your busy then it can be difficult to fix the problem yourself without letting your other customers down.
