its a cracking bit of kit. can use it for detecting leaks, breaks in insulation, cold spots, hot spots and all sorts. Mine was from a company called thermavet who use them as a diagnostic tools for horses and cattle. only trouble is as I said mine is a £200 paper weight at the moment... Ive been looking to try and fins a patch program for android or how to upgrade the firmware on the camera but anything technical like that is both over my head and very difficult to find

I wont have my own mobile phone. I only have one cos work provide it. they wont let me have an I phone for some reason.. I agree thought hat the FLIR cameras work well on the iphone. From memory the sales girl that I bought mine from said it was originally developed just for the I phone but then they expanded into android. it worked fine on my old phone a Samsung galaxy S5...

Yeah it took a while before they released an android version.
I understand why you wouldn't use your own phone, for sure.
Shame you couldn't keep your old handset just for the infra red.
